Brand recently got upset while chatting with talk show host Graham Norton when asked about his divorce with Perry, states RadarOnline . “My mum is here.   Super Star Rajinikanth paid a surprise visit to the Gopalapuram residence of  DMK chief and Ex CM Karunanidhi this morning. The actor caught up with the veteran politician for about half an hour between 10.30 and 11 am and Karunanidhi’s son and politician Stalin was also present during the meeting. Though the finer details of the meeting are not yet out, the surprise visit has raised many eye brows. The actor has not been very active in the social circuit after his illness and rarely does he venture out. Contrary to media reports director Sargunam has clarified to Behindwoods that he is not doing Manja Pye with Vimal in the lead. He is doing a film with Dhanush and the film is titled Sotta Valla Kutty. The film will hit the floors in September and the first leg of the shoot will be held in Hosur followed by Nagerkoil. The director has roped in the music director of Vagai Sooda Vaa, Gibran to score the music. Manja Pye will be directed by one of Sargunam's assistant directors, Naveen.

New Delhi:  Congress President Sonia Gandhi will meet her party's toughest ally Mamata Banerjee in the national capital today seeking to build consensus on the UPA's candidate for President. The Congress has so far not named its choice for the top post. However, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is believed by many to be the front-runner among those vying to be the next President of the country. Mr Mukherjee has cancelled a trip to Afghanistan. His office says he wants to remain in Delhi to monitor the economic slowdown. But in political circles, his presence is being read as a sign that he is on stand-by for the Presidential nomination.  Ms Banerjee, who arrived in Delhi yesterday, has reportedly conveyed to the Congress that she will support Mr Mukherjee for President, but not before the Congress declares he is the official candidate for the UPA.
